Mr.George James Onyango was born on 20th march 1962. He attended Jamhuri High School from 1975 to 1978 sitting for EACE and obtained a Division II. He attended AHITI Kabete from 1979 to 1981 obtaining a distinction certificate in Hides, skins and leather technology. He has a span of over twenty-five years of experience in the leather subsector within the public sector. He also holds a Diploma in leather processing from India. He has served at various levels since he joined the service in the Ministry of Livestock Development in 1981. Currently he is a member of the secretariat under Kenya Leather Development Council in charge of leather goods.
