Mr. Jimmy Odhiambo
Chief Executive Officer
Jimmy Odhiambo is an experienced industrial development professional with over 17 years of expertise in developing leather, textile, and apparel value chains. He assumed the role of Acting Chief Executive Officer at the Kenya Leather Development Council in October 2025, bringing extensive public sector leadership and strategic policy implementation experience.
Academic Qualifications
Jimmy holds a Master's Degree in Economics from Maseno University and a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from the University of Nairobi. His executive education includes qualifications in Strategic Leadership and Policy Development.
Professional Experience
Prior to joining the Kenya Leather Development Council, Jimmy served in progressively senior roles at the Ministry of Investments, Trade and Industry, advancing from Principal Industrial Development Officer to Assistant Director of Industries, and subsequently to Deputy Director of Industries. His career also includes serving as Enterprise Development Officer and Project Coordinator at the Micro and Small Enterprises Authority.
